Hot Water Injection Technology (FASO)
AAG proudly supports and implements the Fire Ant Soup Operation (FASO) — a hot-water nest-injection technology developed by Professor Joshua King at the University of Central Florida (UCF) and piloted in Australia by Professor Nigel Andrew at Southern Cross University (SCU).
This technology is licensed through the University of Central Florida’s Technology Transfer Division.
The FASO method uses near-boiling water (~90 °C) to directly eliminate fire ant colonies — including the queen, workers, and brood — without chemical contamination or ecological harm.
