Hi Trevor, I received a notice saying they want to install a smart meter on my house even though previously I was on the opt out list.
I do not want a smart meter but don’t know how to stop them without having my electricity turned off.-
I would contact Know your Rights Group. They are a group of guys who are Very well versed and qualified in the area of law. They are on f/b and have A radio show every week- night time ( 2 hours)- very worth listening to. You can ask a question via emailing them & they answer on radio Or you can pay them for a 20 minute call or longer which includes them writing/ emailing on your behalf ( a very affordable cost compared to lawyers). Change your Lock on your electricity meter & be at home when it gets read every 3 months: that way the company that installs Can’t install one . As they have tried to do with others but got caught by home owner & were told to rack off!!
