Creating better outcomes for Australia

Individual Advocacy

Australian Advocacy Group does not currently align or support the current fire ant eradication program, particularly prophylactic treatment and aerial treatment in heavily treed areas. This is in line with most of the community we engage with. Instead of finding a suitable balance or resolve to differences the NFAEP strategy has with people or business, the NFAEP deem them nuisance and comunication is ceased. The Department of Primary Industies (QLD), along with the APVMA, is corporate captured and no longer represents or acts in the benefit of the community, Queensland or indeed Australia. Complete loss of trust currently exists between the government and the people and I hope the people in power can acknowledge this, remove themselves and then start fresh with new, community minded decision makers.

The Department of Primary Industries (Department) recently made a decision, as is their right, to cease communications with me. That’s ok because they failed to acknowledge the views of me, as an individual, or the collective view of the members of Australian Advocacy Group, breaching the requirments of the Biosecurity Act, anyway.

My clients and paid members of Australian Advocacy Group (AAG) also have the right to nominate advocacy and engage AAG to manage their communications with the NFAEP to meet their biosecurity obligation. AAG is lawful, registered business providing positive, cost-effective services to members and social advocacy, endevouring to provide positive outcomes in the communities. Generally, the clients of AAG have nominated advocacy after negative outcomes were experienced by engaging with the NFAEP. These outcomes have been reported as bullying, intimidation, coercive control, threatening behavior etc. and have often left people with negative health and overall wellbeing outcomes.

Have you been following the draconian, heavy handed approach adopted by the Department of Primary Industries?

Their mantra is to deny, dely and discredit anyone who disagrees with their reckless, irresponsible, distribution of toxic chemcials. Working together we can advocate for better outcomes in our communities.

Stop Fire Ant Eradication Scam immediately.

For those who are following this process I provide the latest correspondance below. If it wasn’t so serious, it would be comical.

OFFICIAL (email)

Hey Guys,

See attached reply. Please note: all clients have been BCC’ed in this correspondence.

Your decision will be referred to the Queensland Ombudsman for review before being lodged with the Queensland Human Rights Commission (QHRC)

Should meditation not be resolved through these processes or change initiated through policy and strategy change of the NFAEP I will proceed to QCAT before initiating court proceedings.

In the meantime, my clients have a reasonable excuse to obstruct the designated officer, or another person or a detection animal helping a designated officer entering the private property, as is their right, as detailed in the Biosecurity Act 2014 (Queensland), Section 336 Obstructing a designated officer, and will exercise this right. Should you wish to receive the documentation associated with the reasonable excuse or have any inquiries about private property please feel free to reach out, I will be happy to assist.
In the meantime, please place my clients on a do not treat list and instruct field teams not to enter or conduct treatment on their property until this process can be resolved. All notices provided to my clients will be certified copied and returned with an objection notice via registered mail and by electronic mail.

It would be beneficial to obtain an NFAEP liaison manager, so resources are not wasted by me having to email everyone about these issues.

If you require additional information or have any questions, please feel free to reach out.

Kind regards

Trevor Hold

Hello Trevor, the internal review email, “ I assume” you expected this outcome. No expectations and you don’t get hurt.

    Your reply email is brilliant.

I’d love to be a fly on the wall when they read it.

They don’t know how to interact with community in any shape or form. Like the politicians who just ignore emails and hope you just go away.
Like the property treatments, ignore, humiliate, break a person’s spirit or just enter when no one home to achieve an outcome by which the criteria was to 100% treat. We are not robots or AI persons ( yet).
In life nothing is going to be 100% perfect especially re this program…

    Enjoy your Sunday,

    Cheers,
    Monique.

Even when they did agree to talk to me their response failed to respond.
