Treatment Notice Objection

Objection to the Notices Received in Your Mailbox.

Do not throw away the notices you find in your mailbox advising that
they were not able to treat your property for various reasons. Object to every single one. By ignoring these notices and/or throwing away you are tacitly agreeing to the treatment. Many are commenting that they are not addressed to you and are just junk mail, AAG recommends a proactive approach.

Definition – Tacit Agreement
An agreement is formed without explicit communication but is understood through the conduct of the parties involved. It can also be described as an agreement where someone agrees to something or approves it without saying so.

Use the templates below and as per the following.

Instructions to object to notices received.

  1. Update the Notice Letter Template (provided above) with your details. Note: Word or similar software is required. If you haven’t got access to word processing software reach out to AAG.
  2. Sign and Witness your objection letter. It is preferred to use a Justice of the Peace to witness the letter to make it look more official.
  3. Photocopy your notice and letter and get a Justice of the Peace to witness and certify copies. The reason for this is because you want to keep all original records and send certified copies to the program.
  4. Post certified copies of your notice and letter to the NFAEP by registered mail to:
The NFAEP General Manager, PO Box 426, Browns Plains BC, QLD 4118.

APVMA Adverse Effects Reporting

If you or someone you know has experienced adverse health effects that
they believe are related to fire ant baiting, it’s important to report it to the
APVMA. This includes effects on animals and environmental impacts.
The APVMA collects information on all unintended/unexpected
outcomes associated with registered products. Please provide as much
evidence as possible. If you have experienced symptoms but do not
have reports, your account of your experience is still valuable.
You can report here: Adverse Effects Reporting

Resonable Excuse Starting Points

Everyone has a biosecurity obligation. To fulfill this obligation you need to maintain your property free of fire ants.

A reasonable Excuse could also include Dr Joshua Kings open letter.

A reaosonable excuse is not defined in the Biosecurity Act 2014 (QLD). Generally, a reasonable excuse is what an ordinary person considers reasonable under the circumstances. Collecting ‘ordinary people’ stat decs agreeing with your reasonable excuse will be beneficial. You have to make sure the stat dec aligns with you reasonable excuse.
